Blackheads

Contrary to the common belief,
blackheads are not caused by poor hygiene. They are caused by excess oils
that have accumulated in the sebaceous gland's duct. The substance
found in these bumps mostly consists of keratin and modified sebum (an
oily secretion of the sebaceous gland), which darkens as it oxidizes.
Blackheads are the little small black spots that may be seen in your
skin pores from time to time. It is believed that blackheads are the
result of the glands in your skin producing so much oil that they clog
themselves. Also, Pore cleanser strips are highly recommended for the
treatment/removal of blackheads. Using them once per week will leave
your pores cleaner and smaller.
Some contributing factors that can result in blackheads are sleeping
with makeup on, improper washing of the face or even use of bad quality
skin care products. Blackheads are not deleterious in any manner,
however, their presence could cause one to feel embarrassed. And some of
them don’t even get rid of blackheads in the first place, having little
to no effect on the bacteria or hard oils built up in the pores. But if
you know what you are looking for, you can find the best black heads
treatments. Unlike pimples, blackheads aren’t inflamed or red. Can you
see a dermatologist for blackheads?
Blackheads, after all, are a failure on the part of your follicles. Once
the blockage begins, it's just a matter of time before acne causing
bacteria take over and completely clog the pore resulting in either a
whitehead or a blackhead. Open comedones are blackheads , the black is
caused by melanin which is the surface pigment and not caused due to
dirt . Closed comedones are whiteheads, in this case the pore is
completely blocked. Blackheads are different in appearance because of
the reaction of the sebum when it is exposed to air.

Blind Pimples
Pimples
are generally caused by swelling of the skin as a result of skin pores
getting clogged either due to dust or hormonal changes in the body. The
basic difference between a pimple and a blind pimple is that these do
not have a head whereas a pimple has a colored head. In a majority of
cases blind pimples simply appear like a swelling.
The basis cause of these types of pimples is not clearly understood yet.
The generally understood reason is that it results on account of the
imbalance in the body caused by hormones. The changes in the hormonal
balances cause the sebaceous glands to secrete more oily matter leading
these glands to increase in size. This results in swollen bumps and if
these bumps are without a head, they are called blind pimples.
It is a normal tendency to be tempted either to squeeze or poke a
pimple. One should, as a rule, avoid using pointed articles like pins,
needles etc. to drain the pimple contents. By using a pointed object,
one will increase the risk of getting an infection. It may also result
in a scar or damage to the skin. It is advised to allow the blind pimple
to form an outlet in the normal course. One can take precautions to
hasten the creation of an outlet...

Pimples Causes
Our
skin consists of millions of tiny pores. These pores are connected to
oil glands. Once these oil glands are blocked by dirt or other factors,
the oily substance, (called sedum) clogs our pores causing pimple
outbreaks. A major contributor to the outbreak of pimples is the
elevation of hormones, usually occurring during puberty or menstrual
cycles in women. This results in the hormone by-product called DHT.
This hormone by-product overstimulates the oil gland resulting in
clogging of the pores, which then results in acne production. To address
and help treat this problem, there are creams and ointments available
over the counter. These ointments can easily be applied topically to the
blemish. However, if the condition seems to worsen, it is recommended
that you see a dermatologist or skin expert immediately. Other articles

The best advice to maintain a good complexion is to address the problem
of acne before it begins to exist. You can begin by following a regular
skin cleansing regimen to rid your pores of unwanted particles and dirt.
The easier it is for your skin to breathe, the fewer problems will
occur. It requires some discipline and patience to maintain a skin
regimen, but you will be thankful in the long run.
However, if you have an already existing skin condition, there are many
things that can be done to help this ongoing problem...

Pimple Treatments
Acne
scar is a plane area of blemish on the skin which remains after a pimple
or zit has been cured. It is part of the skin's normal therapeutic
course. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) frequently comes about
because of agitated pimples, nodules, and/or cysts. Post-inflammatory
hyperpigmentation spots extend in hue from pink to red, purple, or
brown. It may happen in any area on the face or body.
Frequently considered to be a scar, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
is not lasting. It usually clears away within three to twelve months.
Acne remedy with
Retin-A (generic
Retin-A), hydroquinone, azelaic acid (Azelex),
chemical peels, or microdermabrasion may accelerate the clearing
procedure.
After an acne wound has cured, it may leave behind a red or
hyperpigmented blemish on the skin. This is in fact not a scar, however,
rather a post-inflammatory transformation. The redness or
hyperpigmentation is noticed as the skin passes through its curing and
renovating process, that occurs about six to twelve months. If no
further acne wounds cultivate in that area, the skin may cure
ordinarily. Any color variation or skin imperfection still at hand after
one year is thought to be a permanent imperfection or scar...

Popping Pimples
Popping
pimples has become a frequent practice. Popping pimples has been the
norm for many of us. We pop a pimple whenever it comes out. Popping
pimples causes the healing process to take longer, and it makes you more
likely to get additional acne in the future. Even using a pimple popping
device such as a pimple extractor will make your condition worse, and
should be avoided. Popping pimples is a very common practice done by
many but it is always suggested to give those pimples there own time to
heal. Many people ask me the right way to pop the pimples as they are in
great hurry and want there clear skin back as soon as possible.
Popping pimples is not a good solution to
get rid of acne on your face, even if the feeling that eliminating it
physically is going to help a lot. Using this primitive acne removal
technique is not always good. Popping pimples is deeply satisfying in a
sick, disgusting way that I don't like to express to people because I
think that they'll think less of me. Popping pimples is really a
dance, an exacting footwork where moves must be made at exactly the
right moment. If the move is not made at the perfect time the dancer
stumbles and brings on shame...

Remove Pimples
Don't
you wish you could get rid of pimples that always seem to pop up at the
most inopportune times (like just before a big date, important job
interview or your wedding day)? You need to get rid of pimples, and
fast! Try these quick fixes to help rapidly banish that breakout.
1. Spot-Treat It
Over-the-counter spot treatments deliver a generous amount of
acne-fighting ingredients directly to the blemish. Choose one that
contains
benzoyl peroxide or
salicylic acid. Experiment to find which works best for you.
Some spot treatments are made to be left on overnight. Others are
incorporated into a makeup concealer or are tinted to hide the blemish
while it heals.
If you'd rather go the all-natural route, try dabbing on a drop of tea
tree essential oil a few times a day. Some sources claim tea tree oil is
as effective as 5% benzoyl peroxide...
